Testosterone Propionate

Also known as: Test P · Propionate

What it is

A short-acting esterified form of testosterone in oil. The propionate ester is the shortest of the common testosterone esters.

How it works

Cleaved rapidly by serum esterases after injection, releasing free testosterone which binds androgen receptors. Shorter ester chain produces faster release and clearance.

Where it's used

Used in hormone replacement therapy, though far less commonly than cypionate or enanthate due to its shorter duration.

FDA-approved use

Replacement therapy in males with deficiency of endogenous testosterone (limited commercial availability in the US).

Tracking it

Testosterone Propionate is injectable, so two things matter in a log: when you dosed and where. Rotating sites and writing both down prevents the classic “did I already pin the left side?” problem. with a half-life of about 2 days (48 h), a dose log also lets a tracker model the relative amount still in your system between doses.
