Data Deletion

Last updated: July 18, 2026

Stack (the “App”) is local-first by default. Your data lives in an encrypted database on your device, and unless you turn on an optional feature (email updates or Cloud backup), we don’t have a server-side copy of your medications, doses, lab results, or anything else. That means you can delete all of your on-device data yourself, instantly, at any time — and if you did use an optional feature, we’ll delete that too on request. Questions: hello@trackyourstack.app.

The short version
  • In the App: Settings → Wipe all data erases everything on your device (irreversible).
  • Uninstalling the App also removes its on-device data.
  • If you turned on email updates or Cloud backup, email us to delete your email and cloud copy — see Section 2.

1. Delete your in-app data (recommended)

You have full control inside the App:

  • Delete individual entries — remove a single compound, dose, lab result, or note.
  • Wipe everything — go to Settings → Wipe all data and confirm by typing DELETE. This permanently erases the encrypted database, all reminders, and the encryption key from your device’s secure storage. The App returns to a fresh-install state. This cannot be undone.
  • Uninstall — removing the App from your device also deletes its local data.

2. Data that leaves your device (and how to delete it)

Anonymous analytics and crash reports (Aptabase and Sentry) contain no account, no identity, and none of your health or medication data, and cannot be tied back to you — there is no personal record on our side to look up.

Your account is the email you sign in with — that is all it holds, and it is never linked to your health data. Email hello@trackyourstack.app to have your account and its email permanently deleted from our backend.

Optional features you turned on can store data on our backend, and you can have it deleted at any time:

  • Email updates: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us to have your address removed from our list.
  • Cloud backup: turn it off in the App, and email hello@trackyourstack.app to have your encrypted cloud copy and associated email permanently deleted from our backend.
  • Feedback: email us to have a feedback message you sent removed.

We aim to complete deletion requests within a few business days.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

Stack Plus is bought on the web. Your purchase record is held by our billing provider RevenueCat, with Stripe as the payment processor — not by the app stores. To manage or remove those records:

  • Cancel a subscription: use the billing/management link in your purchase-confirmation email, or email hello@trackyourstack.app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus through the period you already paid for.
  • Purchase/refund history & deletion: email us and we'll help you retrieve or delete your billing records held by Stripe/RevenueCat.

Cancelling does not delete your in-app data — use Section 1 for that.

4. Backups you created

If you exported a local encrypted backup file and saved it somewhere (a cloud drive, your downloads, a message), that copy is in your control — delete it from wherever you stored it; we never receive it. If you turned on Cloud backup, see Section 2 to have the copy on our backend deleted.

5. Request help

If you have any trouble deleting your data, contact us and we’ll walk you through it: hello@trackyourstack.app. We aim to respond within a few business days.
